GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE AND USE

This website is operated by the company: La Taverne du Viking. On this site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to La Taverne du Viking and its artisans. The term “customer”, “consumer” used in these general terms and conditions designates a natural person placing an order which does not relate to their professional commercial or liberal activity. A “professional” within the meaning of these general terms and conditions is a natural person placing an order, acting within the framework and on behalf of his professional, commercial or liberal activity, he is therefore subject to transmit his siret number before each order.

By visiting this site and/or purchasing one of our products, you agree to read and accept our General Conditions of Sale known as CGV.

Please read these General Conditions of Sale carefully before accessing or using our website. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.

These general conditions of sale apply, in their version in force at the time of the order, to the entire La Taverne du Viking site, even contrary to this dedicated information page.

- ARTICLE 1 – CONDITIONS OF USE OF OUR ONLINE STORE

By clicking on “pay” you declare that you have read and accepted our general conditions of sale, and you cannot oppose our general conditions of sale once you have clicked on “pay”.

Use of our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose is prohibited.

Any resale without authorization is prohibited.

The prices of our products may be changed at any time without notice. However, the products will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time of validation of the order.

The products are supplied at the current prices appearing on the “La Taverne du Viking” website , when the order is recorded by the seller.

The prices displayed on the site do not include delivery costs and taxes which are invoiced in addition and calculated before placing the order.

The payment requested from the customer corresponds to the total amount of the purchase, including delivery costs, processing, order preparation and VAT.

- ARTICLE 4 – PRODUCTS

Some products may be exclusively available online on our website. These products may be available in limited quantities and are subject to returns or exchanges only in accordance with our Return Policy.

Materials :

Solid Silver: 92.5% silver and generally 7.5% copper

Bronze Silver are made from: 92.5% bronze and 8.5% silver, Lead, cadmium and nickel free.

Our products in Bronze Italian Bronze (Copper 88%, Tin 12%). Lead, cadmium and nickel free.

Gold: Gold plated

Our drinking horns are made from ox horn, they are treated with natural & food grade beeswax.

All product descriptions and product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to stop offering a product at any time.

All of our products are made to order and by hand by our artisans. Manufacturing times are therefore applicable. The customer becomes aware of these delays before placing the order.

- ARTICLE 5 – CUSTOMER AREA / ACCOUNT

In order to place an order, the customer must create an account (personal space). The personal space includes the customer's current and past orders, manufacturing status and delivery tracking.

To do this, he must register by completing the form which will be offered to him at the time of his order and undertakes to provide sincere and accurate information concerning his marital status and his contact details, in particular his email address.

- ARTICLE 6 – PAYMENT

The price is paid by secure third-party payment method and according to the following terms: Paypal.

The price is payable in cash by the customer, in full on the day the order is placed. But payment validation takes 4 to 5 working days in order to carry out the necessary checks to ensure the eligibility of your order.

Payment data is exchanged in encrypted mode using the protocol defined by the approved payment provider involved in banking transactions carried out on the La Taverne du Viking website.

Your purchases are completely secure, we are committed to the payment security of your banking transactions.

The Seller will not be required to deliver the products ordered by the customer if the customer does not pay the price in full or if payment is refused. A cancellation of the order will therefore be automatically made without notice.

The customer has the possibility of paying by credit card without a Paypal account, thanks to the process set up by Paypal. To do this, the customer must click on ''Pay by card'' when finalizing the payment, no Paypal account will then be required. Paypal is only there to guarantee you 30 days purchase protection and a secure anti-fraud system.

- ARTICLE 7 – MANUFACTURING

La Taverne du Viking does not have any stock, each of the products available on our site is made to order. Manufacturing times are therefore applicable for each order. The customer must be aware of these deadlines before placing an order, which is from Tuesday to Friday only and upon validation of your order.

Manufacturing times are 20 working days for each of the products available on our site. These present conditions currently override the information provided on the site via other pages. Its manufacturing times are available at any time on our website and may be modified without notice. The present deadlines announced on our site in the dedicated pages are given for information only and outside areas of strong influence.

- ARTICLE 7-B – DELIVERY

Shipping of products available on the La Taverne du Viking website is available worldwide. All products are deliverable within the deadlines indicated on the post office website at the time of sending, in Metropolitan France after receiving the email containing the tracking number.

Deliveries within 48 hours are only for addresses in mainland France, the announced 48-hour deadline is provided as an indication and subject to the deadlines provided by La Poste, a company outside La Taverne du Viking.

In all other countries, the products are deliverable within the deadlines indicated on the site at the time of sending and after receiving the email containing the tracking number (deadlines provided for information only). If ordering to a country other than mainland France, additional delivery costs are added.

In the event of an order including several products, delivery costs may be added taking into account the different packages to be sent.

The customer can follow the delivery of their order in real time directly on our site, using the information provided by email. Delivery costs include package postage, tracking insurance, and packaging costs.

- ARTICLE 7-B – CUSTOMS INFORMATION

Customs duties or other local taxes or import duties or state taxes may be payable. They will be the responsibility and are the sole responsibility of the customer. If the customer refuses the package on the grounds of customs fees, a refund will be made without delivery and customs fees. The article below explains how it works and what you need to know.

We cannot control customs in any way, we are unable to add customs or customs duties to invoices. Because not all orders incur customs fees, this happens randomly if the package is checked by customs services.

- ARTICLE 8 – ORDER

The Products supplied by Taverne du Viking benefit from legal guarantees: Legal guarantee against hidden defects (article 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code), Legal guarantee of conformity (article L.217-4 to L. 217-14 of the code of consumption)

The Guarantee does not apply to breakage of our products. Natural deterioration, discoloration, deliberate breakage or broken during use of the products (opening and closing of the bracelets) will not be accepted.

- ARTICLE 11 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, to product shipping costs, delivery times and availability to product weights. - ARTICLE 14 – DISPUTE – REFUND & RETURN

The customer can request a return within 14 days from the date of receipt of their order via the returns form. At the address mentioned on the form. No returns or refunds can be made on products already worn, damaged, engraved, out of their original bag or during delivery.

Return costs are never refunded and are the responsibility of the customer.

The refund can only be made via the payment method used for the order as well as the account which was used for payment and this within 10 to 14 days after receipt by our teams of the return. No reimbursement via transfer, or to another bank account can be made.

Our creations are handmade, our photos cannot be contractual, there may be minimal alterations on our products once received, such as polishing, shaping or other marks. The colors may be altered by your screens, brightness or other settings that you apply, this cannot be accepted for return/exchange requests.
Our drinking horns are created by hand, and are natural products, they cannot be perfect and may have some alteration. We accept returns on our horns only if the product arrives damaged, no returns or refunds will be made for so-called natural alterations on our horns or if they have been used with a liquid.

Refunds are only made if the product has a manufacturing defect or if you have mentioned a refund on the returns form. Otherwise, we will exchange the products in the form of a credit. Delivery costs as well as any customs costs are never refunded and are not included in the amount of the credit.

- ARTICLE 15 – EXCLUSION OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 

We do not guarantee or represent that your use of our Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

We do not warrant that any results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.

You agree that from time to time we may remove the Service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the Service at any time, without prior notice to you.
